To Win An Argument Is To Shout Louder Than Everyone ElseIf you can't win by reason, go for volume
Loud, louder, the loudest … Can‘t you hear me?
There is this human tendency to put even more effort into arguments when the opponent doesn’t want to agree.
Sometimes we also put more effort in our voices. Being confident and loud seems to the best way to win an argument. Some believe this is a good strategy. Some sources will tell you it is the best way to win an argument because by shouting louder than everyone else people will simply assume you’re right. The truth is though this has some (negative) effects on the relationship but not on the effectiveness of the argument.
