Network Differently

Networking has a bad reputation, hasn’t it?
Many people try to collect as many business cards as they possibly can. They don‘t really consider how they might help the other person.
So they don’t create value for themselves nor for others.

Some entrepreneurs and freelancers spend so much time with network activities that the other aspects of business get neglected.
How much time does it require to assure the desired quality of your offer?
Is there no room for improvement within your product or service?
Isn’t there anything to do to make your offer more attractive?
I find it suspicious when someone spends all his time visiting network meetings.

How about doing it differently?

Be selective who you spend time with and focus your efforts on getting to know as much as possible about them to deepen the relationship and the value for everyone.

Build a reputation as the expert in your field of expertise, the one to go to for information, resources or referrals that help others.

Focus on quality instead of quantity.
It is not only about knowing others but also to stay in touch.
How many contacts are you able to manage?
With how many people are you able to be in some kind of a relationship?

The clearer you know your offer and the value for others the easier and more effective you are able to you present it.
If you don't understand your offer, the advantages and the USP yourself, how can someone else understand the value?

By bearing that in mind you get better results out of the time you invest in networking.
